Very Rev. Fr. Jim King

Very Reverend Father Jim King is originally from Lincoln, Nebraska. After graduating from school and receiving his dental license, he served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Riverside, California at March AFB during the early years of the Vietnam conflict. He led Young Life clubs in Riverside, and came Isla Vista with his family in 1972. He was ordained to the diaconate of Feb. 8, 1987, was elevated to the priesthood on Feb. 15, 1987, and elevated to archpriest by Bishop JOSEPH of Los Angeles and the West on Jan. 27, 2007. Still being active in the private practice of dentistry, Fr. Father Jim is married to Khouria Peggy King; together they have 3 children and now enjoy the blessing of 8 grandchildren. He enjoys traveling to serve mission parishes and taking time to do research in the areas of homiletics and current events.
